At Q-tech, we're hiring a Senior Data Engineer with experience in Snowflake to join a data infrastructure team that lays the secure, scalable and trustworthy foundation for storing, processing and distributing critical data at a leading international financial services firm.
In this role, you'll design pipelines and platform components that support decision-making, reporting and analytics, working closely with data governance teams and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy ELT pipelines using dbt on Snowflake, following established data modeling standards.
- Build and maintain data products for fund accounting, positions, NAV and regulatory reporting.
- Define data contracts, quality expectations and monitoring alerts.
- Develop infrastructure components using Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Partner with architecture, security and compliance teams to strengthen platform security and reliability.
- Translate product vision into platform capabilities alongside product owners.
What we're looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Advanced Snowflake expertise (architecture, performance tuning, Snowpark, Streamlit).
- Strong dbt proficiency (models, macros, testing and deployment).
- Enterprise data modeling experience (dimensional modeling, SCD, Data Vault).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Experience with Airflow, StreamSets and data governance tools.
- Financial services domain knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to leverage AI tools responsibly to optimize workflows.
