Senior Data Engineer
For our Client from banking industry we are looking for Senior Data Engineer (DataStage + Python)!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Join a Compliance and Investment Management environment where technology directly supports market integrity. In this role, you will contribute to building advanced surveillance solutions designed to detect insider trading and market manipulation across trades, orders, and communications.
You will work with a modern, cloud-based SaaS platform for Market Abuse Surveillance, playing a key role in delivering high-quality data pipelines that power the system. Your main focus will be designing and developing robust ETL processes — integrating data from streaming sources like Kafka and databases, and transforming it into structured outputs used for regulatory monitoring.
This is a great opportunity to combine data engineering expertise with real business impact, working at the intersection of finance, technology, and compliance. You’ll collaborate within agile teams, using modern tools and architectures to deliver solutions that help ensure transparency and trust in financial markets.
REQUIREMENTS
Hands-on experience on DataStage & Python for transforming data (ETL)
Worked with Oracle SQL is a must.
Experience reading from sources with Kafka/XML
Experience with JIRA & agile ways of working
Strong IT background with knowledge about full-stack, Kubernetes, Python DataStage, etc
NICE TO HAVE
Prior experience in financial institutions, specifically in the trading area
Knowledge of risk & compliance space.
Preferably knowledge of Actimize product & implementation
WHAT DO WE OFFER ON THIS PROJECT?
Cooperation based on a B2B contract and rate: 175-190 PLN/hour
Hybrid work from Warsaw/Tricity/Łódź (2-3 times a week in the office)
