Senior Data Engineer SQL Snowflake - Finance

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build and optimise reliable data pipelines and integrations, leveraging SQL, Snowflake, Python, Dagster, DBT and C#. You will shape a new Snowflake-based data platform, modernise legacy systems, and migrate to the new tech stack. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions, troubleshoot complex data challenges, and ensure high data quality. You will mentor junior engineers and help establish best practices across the team, contributing to stronger client outcomes and investment performance.

• Build and optimise data pipelines and integrations using Python, SQL, Dagster, Snowflake, DBT and C#
• Shape and migrate to a new Snowflake-based data platform, influencing architecture and technology choices
• Modernise legacy systems and ensure reliable data quality, integrity, and performance
• Collaborate with stakeholders and data owners to translate business requirements into solutions
• Troubleshoot complex data challenges and ensure scalable, robust data solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices across the team

• Strong data engineering experience, ideally with a software development background
• Expertise with SQL and Snowflake, including query optimisation and performance tuning
• Experience with data modelling, ELT pipelines and data integration
• Proficiency in Python and/or C#
• Familiarity with Dagster and DBT
• Collaborative, pragmatic mindset and stakeholder-facing skills
• Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, coaching and training
