Guided by our values of Care, Passion, and Smart Disruption, we’re united by a shared mission: to create smarter ways to run efficient clinical trials and deliver AI-powered insights that improve human outcomes worldwide.

This role is ideally on a hybrid basis, in London.

The Role
This role sits within our internal Data & Analytics team, helping leadership make data-driven decisions as CluePoints continues to scale. You'll join a small, high-impact team building and evolving our enterprise data platform, integrating data from business systems into our Azure data warehouse and creating trusted datasets that power Power BI reporting across Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance and Professional Services.
Built on strong Azure foundations—including Azure Data Factory, a bronze/silver/gold architecture and a recent transition to Microsoft Fabric—you'll help shape the next generation of our data platform, developing scalable engineering patterns that enable the business to grow with confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable data solutions in Microsoft Fabric — OneLake, Lakehouse and Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, Delta, and T-SQL.
  • Help lead the phased migration and modernisation of our Azure SQL warehouse and ADF workloads onto Microsoft Fabric.
  • Source data from the web and SaaS systems used across Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance and Professional Services, and land it reliably in the warehouse.
  • Build reusable ingestion and transformation patterns, incremental loading, CDC, and reconciliation you can trust in production.
  • Own and evolve the Kimball gold layer so the Analyst has a clean, well-modelled foundation to build semantic models and reports on.
  • Establish Git-based CI/CD, data quality checks, lineage, security, and monitoring across Fabric and related Azure components.
  • Partner day-to-day with the Director of Data & Analytics and the Senior Data Analyst; help shape engineering standards as the function grows.

Requirements

  • 8+ years hands-on data engineering and enterprise data warehousing, including senior or lead-level responsibility.
  • Substantial production experience with Microsoft Fabric — at least one end-to-end implementation, modernisation, or migration you can walk through in detail.
  • Deep Kimball dimensional modelling expertise, with real examples of gold-layer design for cross-departmental reporting.
  • Strong Azure stack: Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, Key Vault, and experience integrating web/SaaS sources.
  • Advanced T-SQL plus Python and/or PySpark for scalable, testable, well-instrumented pipelines.
  • Comfort working closely with a small analytics team and translating business questions into engineering work.
Nice to Have
  • Microsoft certifications: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700), Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600), or relevant Azure certs.
  • Microsoft Purview, Fabric administration, capacity management, OneLake shortcuts and mirroring.
  • Infrastructure as code — Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell, or Fabric/Azure APIs.
  • Prior experience building internal analytics warehouses inside a fast-growing SaaS business.

Benefits

🇬🇧 What We Offer – United Kingdom
  • Private Medical Insurance through Vitality Health (full hospital cover, 24/7 GP, and therapy sessions)
  • Group Critical Illness Cover with Aviva
  • Life Insurance (death-in-service lump sum)
  • Pension Scheme with 9% employer contribution via Scottish Widows
  • Opportunities for professional development and sponsored certifications
  • A hub-based hybrid model that blends flexibility with purpose — connecting teams through collaboration, learning, and a vibrant social culture.
