Senior Data Engineer
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data & AI Engineer to join our upcoming AI-driven projects in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Python, Databricks, and Azure Cloud, with a proven background in data engineering, advanced analytics, and AI model support. This role requires someone who can work independently while collaborating effectively with a multicultural and multilingual team.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to enable efficient data ingestion into Azure Search Index, ensuring high-quality integration and flow.
- Index Optimisation: Fine-tune index parameters to improve Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and rank-based evaluation, enhancing AI model accuracy and performance.
- Document Intelligence: Leverage Document Intelligence Services to extract and structure insights from diverse document formats.
- AI Integration: Collaborate with OpenAI API and other advanced AI tools to integrate innovative functionalities and support next-generation AI solutions.
- Cloud Engineering: Deploy and manage data solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile environment, contributing to project design, planning, and delivery.
- Proficiency in Python and Databricks for data engineering and analytics.
- Strong background in data architecture design and implementation.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (App Services, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Search Index, etc.).
- Ability to deliver within tight deadlines in multicultural, multilingual environments.
- Innovative problem-solver, capable of working autonomously while aligning decisions with the team.
