Senior Data Engineer
Summary
A senior data engineer who designs, builds, and maintains ETL/ELT pipelines and reliable datasets for cloud cost transparency, FinOps-style cost optimization, and telemetry analysis, collaborating with engineering, analytics, and finance stakeholders. The core stack is AWS (Glue, Aurora, Athena), Snowflake, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, dbt, Airflow/Dagster, Terraform, and CI/CD.
- Design, build, and maintain data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines, including automation that supports cloud cost transparency and attribution
- Develop reliable datasets and tooling for cost optimization, telemetry analysis, and performance-informed financial modeling
- Support committed use discount modeling and management
- Improve data models, schema maturity, and data quality, including end-to-end validation
- Maintain and evolve production pipelines and schemas, ensuring stability and reliability
- Integrate data sources and services via REST APIs and automate delivery with CI/CD and Terraform
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and finance stakeholders to deliver trustworthy, actionable data
- Recent hands-on experience with AWS (Glue, Aurora, Athena) and Snowflake
- Strong SQL, Python, Spark, and Scala skills
- Practical experience with dbt and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster
- Experience designing and maintaining production ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and evolving schemas
- Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, and REST API integrations
- Strong data auditing, data quality, and end-to-end validation skills
- Experience with GCP
- English level B2

- Experience with FinOps / cloud cost optimization, FinOps certification
- Experience with Datadog API
