At Xebia we build strong Data & AI practices to deliver value to clients and their customers. As a data engineer, you are responsible for implementing the foundations of data‑intensive systems. You develop infrastructure to store, transform, and process data at scale and in the cloud using the technology that you see fit for the job. You also leverage AI coding tools to be more effective without compromising on quality.
Who Are We Looking For?
The Data Engineer role is a senior position with a central role in our clients' teams. We require at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. Outstanding achievements during studies or previous jobs (e.g., open‑source contributions, starting a company) are also highly encouraged. You must speak Dutch fluently and be able to travel to North Brabant, Limburg, or Gelderland for on‑site work.
Responsibilities
• Design and build data pipelines and storage solutions at enterprise scale. • Transform, process, and store data in the cloud using Databricks, Spark, Airflow, and Terraform. • Maintain, optimise, and secure data infrastructure. • Use AI coding assistants to increase productivity while maintaining high code quality.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields. • Strong knowledge of modern data processing tools – Databricks, Spark, Airflow, Cloud services, Terraform. • Fluent in Dutch. • Comfortable with coding, scripting, templating, and working under time pressure.
