Senior Data Migration Architect

About Position:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Migration Architect to lead the architecture and design of enterprise-scale migration and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in database technologies, enterprise architecture, migration frameworks, and AI-driven transformation solutions. This role will be responsible for defining the target architecture for migration factories and transpilation platforms, establishing migration standards, and leveraging Agentic AI technologies to accelerate modernization programs.

What You'll Do:

• Define the end-state architecture for enterprise migration factories and AI-powered transpilation platforms.
• Design migration frameworks, standards, reusable components, and reference architectures.
• Architect database migration strategies across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and EnterpriseDB platforms.
• Design Agentic AI workflows for automated code conversion, remediation, validation, and modernization.
• Evaluate source and target platforms to ensure migration feasibility, scalability, and compatibility.
• Perform dependency analysis, impact assessments, and migration planning activities.
• Design enterprise integration patterns using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to align migration roadmaps with strategic objectives.
• Establish governance, security, compliance, and quality standards for migration programs.
• Define modernization approaches leveraging AI/LLM technologies and automation frameworks.
• Drive architecture reviews, technical assessments, and solution validation initiatives.
• Mentor engineering and migration teams on architecture best practices and implementation strategies.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, database modernization trends, and AI-powered migration capabilities.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 12 to 15 years of experience in Data Architecture, Database Modernization, Enterprise Architecture, or Data Migration programs.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, and EnterpriseDB platforms.
• Proven experience leading large-scale database migration and modernization initiatives.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture design principles and technology governance.
• Experience with Microservices Architecture, API-led connectivity, and integration frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of AI/LLM technologies and Agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience designing automated migration and transpilation solutions.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of database schemas, data modeling, migration methodologies, and performance optimization.
• Experience conducting dependency analysis, impact assessments, and migration planning.
• Knowledge of enterprise application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence enterprise architecture decisions.
