Summary

Builds browser-automation crawlers that extract patient, insurance, appointment and billing data from US healthcare vendor portals (WebPT, Prompt, Raintree, Jane, etc.), then maps, cleans and loads it via REST APIs with retries and rollback, under HIPAA. Core stack: Python or Node.js/TypeScript, Playwright/Puppeteer/Selenium, SQL and pandas.

What you'll do :

- Build crawlers that log into healthcare vendor portals (e.g. WebPT, Prompt, Raintree,Clinicient, Jane) and extract patients, insurance, appointments, providers, documents and balances.

- Handle portal friction: MFA, session timeouts, pagination, rate limits and layout changes.

- Map vendor fields to data model; clean, dedupe and normalise data; flag what can't be mapped.

- Load data through REST APIs in the right order, with retries, logging and rollback.

- Turn one-off scripts into reusable, config-driven connectors so repeat vendors take hours, not days.

- Work with customers and Onboarding Managers to secure credentials, agree scope and get sign-off before go-live.

- Run test loads, the go-live cutover and reconciliation, and fix post-go-live data issues fast.

- Handle patient data securely under HIPAA.

Skills and experience :

Must have :

- 4-7 years in data engineering, integrations or data migration.

- Strong Python (or Node.js/TypeScript) for production scripts and pipelines.

- Hands-on browser automation: Playwright, Puppeteer or Selenium, including logins, MFA and dynamic pages.

- Solid SQL and data wrangling (pandas or similar).

- Experience calling REST APIs at volume: auth, pagination, batching, retries.

- Has built reusable tooling, not only one-off scripts.

- Comfortable on customer calls in English with non-technical US users.

- Calm under fixed deadlines; can run several migrations in one week.

Nice to have :

- US healthcare data experience (EHR/PM systems, ideally PT/OT/SLP).

- HL7, FHIR, X12 (837/835), CPT and ICD-10 codes.

- Workflow orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, Temporal); AWS and Docker.

- Using LLMs for field mapping or document parsing.
