Senior Data Modeler

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Modeler with strong expertise in enterprise data modeling, data architecture and data modeling tools such as ERwin and ER Studio.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models for large-scale enterprise data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Work extensively with ERwin and ER Studio for enterprise data modeling.
• Develop dimensional data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Define and maintain data standards, naming conventions and modeling best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Business Analysts and stakeholders.
• Perform data analysis, reverse engineering and model optimization.
• Support enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and data integration initiatives.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, scalability and performance.
• Document data models, metadata and relationships.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Data Modeling and Data Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with ERwin and/or ER Studio.
• Expertise in conceptual, logical and physical data modeling.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
• Experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW).
• Strong SQL and database concepts.
• Knowledge of data architecture principles and data governance.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of Kimball methodology.
• Experience in data warehouse modernization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
