Senior Data Platform Engineer

Summary

Build and optimize a scalable data platform using Python, Databricks, and Azure, automating pipelines and infrastructure with Terraform and CI/CD.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Further develop our data platform and improve our development processes together with the team, ensuring stable and high‑value releases.
  • Build new integration types with sources such as Kafka, Delta, Event Hub, andvariousfile types.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform (Terragrunt).
  • Build modular, version‑controlled infrastructure components that are easy to maintain and reuse.
  • Collaborate on CI/CD (GitHub Actions) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment for both infrastructure and applications.
  • Optimize large‑scale data processing pipelines for performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Apply security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, and RBAC.
  • Enable users to onboard their data and perform their operational tasks independently via our self‑service platform.
  • Design scalable solutions and support users with questions or issues.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into smart, fitting solutions for our platform.

The recipe for maximum impact:

  • 6+ years of experience as aSoftwareEngineer or similar technical, hands‑on role.
  • You have experience writing scalable Python code, following OOP and SOLID principles.
  • You have experience with a modern lakehouse stack. Databricks (Spark), Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog preferred.
  • You aredeeplyfamiliar with data processing and streaming.
  • You have experience managing and supporting infrastructure in Azure (oranother public cloud),with a focus onscalability and reliability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • You’re tech savvy, pro‑active and have a big passion for tech
