The Senior Data Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, operating and continuously improve secure, scalable and resilient enterprise data platforms that enable trusted data engineering, analytics and AI workloads while ensuring operational excellence, security, innovation and cost efficiency.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing or related field.
- Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or GCP).
- 6+ years' experience in Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
- Experience with Databricks, Amazon S3, Lakehouse or Data Warehouse platforms.
- Experience defining, testing and supporting data integration patterns.
- Experience building and supporting enterprise data platforms from source to consumption.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub/DevOps practices.
- Experience implementing platform security, monitoring and observability.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, storage and compute platforms.
Advantageous
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Platform Administrator.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Kubernetes certification.
- DevOps certification.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
- Build, configure and maintain enterprise data platforms supporting analytics and AI.
- Ensure deployed solutions meet defined architectural and governance standard.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using approved enterprise standards.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and security standards.
- Collaborate with Data Architects to implement platform standards and process.
