Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Quality Engineer to drive enterprise data quality across the lakehouse, ensuring data is accurate, complete, consistent, valid, timely and fit for analytics, reporting and AI initiatives.
Mandatory to Have
- 4+ years of experience in Data Quality, Data Engineering, Data Management or Data Governance
- Strong hands‑on experience in Data Profiling, DQ Rules, Validation, Reconciliation, Monitoring & Remediation
- Advanced SQL – mandatory
- Practical experience with Python / PySpark / Spark
- Strong knowledge of Relational & Dimensional Data Modelling
- Experience with Lakehouse / Medallion Architecture – Bronze, Silver & Gold
- Experience with Azure / Microsoft Fabric preferred
- Hands‑on/working knowledge of Microsoft Purview and MDM platforms
- Knowledge of Data Quality dimensions: Accuracy, Completeness, Validity, Consistency, Uniqueness, Timeliness & Referential Integrity
- Experience implementing automated DQ controls within data pipelines
- Strong experience in source‑to‑target reconciliation and root‑cause analysis
- Knowledge of UAE PDPL, Dubai Data Law and DESC ISR
Preferred
- UAE Government / regulated‑sector experience
- ISO 8000 / DAMA-DMBOK2 knowledge
- Arabic language proficiency
- Experience with enterprise data governance programs
