To make the best use of CIB data by employing various data science , machine learning and Applied AI techniques to provide data-driven recommendations that support key stakeholders across the bank
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Translate business problems from different departments into well-defined data science and applied AI initiatives
2. Build and validate data modelling hypothesis for the various analytics initiatives
3. Gather, validate, process, prepare and explore data in order to find hidden insights and patterns
4. Analyse and interpret data patterns to extract knowledge, generate effective recommendations and create value
5. Apply knowledge in statistics and data-mining to see beyond the numbers and understand how customers interact with bank’s products and services
6. Research and build data science , machine learning algorithms and applied AI solutions to solve various business problems, including contributing to LLM-based and NLP-driven Initiatives
7. Effectively communicate results, insights and data-driven recommendations including findings from applied AI experiments to stakeholders and senior team members
8. Participate in Applied AI proof-of-concept projects, supporting data preparation, results documentation, and model output evaluation
9. Support the development of GenAI solutions by contributing to prompt design, output evaluation, and dataset preparation
10. Assist in building NLP and RAG pipeline components such as text chunking, embedding generation, and semantic search under senior guidance

Day-to-day Operations
12. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the department to ensure continuity of work
Compliance
13. Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
