Senior Data Scientist Analyst Product
Summary
Own product analytics for a crypto prediction market: define metrics, run A/B tests, analyze user behavior, and guide product decisions using SQL and Python.
You will be the analytical partner to product, owning insights from metric definition through experimentation and interpretation. You will define feature success metrics, design and evaluate A/B tests, analyze funnels and user behavior, identify friction and drop-off, guide product direction, own event-tracking specifications, promote analyses into modeled datasets, and document findings clearly.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers on product analytics
- Define feature success metrics
- Design, instrument, and evaluate A/B tests
- Build funnel and behavioral analyses
- Identify user drop-off and friction
- Turn user behavior into product direction
- Own event-tracking specifications
- Promote recurring analyses into modeled datasets
- Write end-to-end documentation
Requirements
- 7+ years in product analytics, data science, or a similar role
- Expert SQL
- Production A/B testing experience
- Strong product sense and hypothesis formation
- Experience defining event tracking and instrumentation
- Ability to scope ambiguous questions and defend assumptions
- Strong communication skills for non-technical audiences
- Causal inference, quasi-experimental methods, or predictive modeling in Python or R is a plus
- Experience with trading, marketplace, or two-sided products is a plus
