Senior Data Scientist Analyst Risk

You will investigate abuse patterns including fake and duplicate signups, bonus farming, wash trading, collusion, and market manipulation. You will combine on-chain, device, and behavioral signals to build detections; quantify financial exposure; convert investigations into monitoring and alerts; partner on onboarding, verification, and bonus controls; support compliance investigations and reporting; and document detection thresholds and rationale.

Responsibilities

• Investigate abuse across the funnel
• Quantify multi-accounting, fake signups, bonus farming, wash trading, collusion, and manipulation
• Build detection logic using on-chain, device, and behavioral signals
• Create recurring monitoring and alerting
• Size financial exposure for each abuse vector
• Partner on onboarding, verification, and bonus controls
• Support compliance investigations, escalations, and regulatory reporting
• Promote detection logic into the modeled layer
• Document detection thresholds and rationale

Requirements

• 7+ years in risk, fraud analytics, trust and safety, or a similar investigative analytical role
• Expert SQL
• Pattern recognition across behavioral datasets
• Experience building detection rules or models
• Judgment regarding false positives and missed abuse
• Ability to work with compliance and handle sensitive findings
• Experience with on-chain analysis, wallet clustering, or blockchain forensics is a plus
• Experience with trade surveillance, market manipulation detection, or AML is a plus
• Anomaly detection, graph analysis, or clustering in Python or R is a plus
• Experience in fintech, crypto, prediction markets, or other data-intensive financial products is a plus
