Job description

Join our Data & AI team in Johannesburg and play a key role in leveraging data analytics and artificial intelligence to optimize business performance, enhance client solutions, and drive informed decision-making. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and deploying advanced analytics and machine learning solutions, with a focus on financial data and applications in fraud detection or financial crime.

Your Missions Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models using Python and related libraries. Apply graph analytics to extract insights from complex, interconnected data sets. Develop and maintain scalable solutions on cloud-native platforms. Analyze large-scale financial data to detect patterns related to fraud or financial crime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into production environments. Document methodologies, experiments, and best practices to contribute to the team's knowledge base. Continuously research and implement enhancements to existing models and analytics pipelines. Support the automation and optimization of data science workflows. Your Profile Experience in data science or a related field (minimum 5 years), with a focus on advanced analytics and machine learning. Proficiency in Python programming and related libraries (e.g., Pandas, Num Py, Scikit-Learn, Py Torch, Tensor Flow). Expertise in machine learning algorithms and techniques. Experience with graph analytics and working with complex, interconnected data sets. Experience with cloud-native platforms and architecture. Experience with financial data and applications in fraud detection or financial crime. Master's in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. You demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills.
