Senior Data Scientist

Purpose of the job

This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and data-driven solutions to drive business insights and strategic decision-making. It involves designing and optimizing predictive models, uncovering patterns in large datasets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven decision making.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML initiatives, driving innovation and strategic alignment with business objectives.
• Develop, architect, and optimize large-scale deep learning and generative AI solutions.
• Build robust pipelines for continuous model deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Research and implement cutting-edge AI advancements.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation.

Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics.

Skills and abilities

• Fluent English and Arabic is a must.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple concurrent tasks.
• Detail-oriented and process oriented.
• Flexibility in dealing with people with diverse working styles.
• Analytical mindset.
• Business acumen.
• Solid experience in classical machine learning modelling.
• Solid experience in deep learning architectures.
• Experience in generative AI (LLMs, GANs, diffusion models, etc.).
• Knowledge in MLOps, including model drift detection and scaling ML systems.
• Leadership skills with experience in managing business stakeholders and projects.
• Experience with SQL.
• 4+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, and deep learning is preferred.
• Experience with reinforcement learning and foundation models is a plus.
• Contributions to AI research, patents, or open-source projects is a plus.
