Senior Data Scientist Product
Summary
Build and monitor product-health metrics, run A/B and causal analyses, and recommend feature changes for Polymarket’s prediction-market platform using SQL, Python/R, and statistics.
You will define product-health metrics and maintain performance dashboards. You will size opportunities, set measurable goals, plan and analyze A/B tests and causal analyses, and recommend whether to ship, iterate, or stop changes. You will support data-driven work on personalization, ranking, and incentives, then communicate clear findings to product stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain product-performance dashboards and metrics.
- Quantify opportunities and help set measurable key results.
- Plan, instrument, and analyze A/B tests and causal analyses.
- Make ship, iterate, or kill recommendations for feature iterations.
- Support data-driven work on personalization, ranking, and incentives.
- Produce clear analytical readouts for product stakeholders.
Requirements
- 4 or more years in data science or product analytics.
- Strong SQL and proficiency in Python or R.
- Expertise in A/B testing, power, bias, and causal inference.
- Knowledge of statistics.
- Product analytics and recommendation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with personalization, ranking, recommendation, or pricing and incentive systems.
- Familiarity with prediction markets, trading, crypto, or real-money marketplaces.
- Experience building experimentation practices.
