Senior Data Scientist, Retail Media (m/f/d)

About your tasks:

• Contribute to the development of our retail media product by applying data science and machine learning to build relevant, effective, and scalable solutions that create value for customers, advertisers, and the business.
• Work on end-to-end Data Science and Machine Learning initiatives, partnering closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and domain experts to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Own projects across the full lifecycle, from problem definition and experimentation through to production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement using complex real-world datasets.
• Design, evaluate, and improve machine learning models and experiments, making thoughtful trade-offs between performance, scalability, maintainability, and business impact.
• Design and evolve retail media measurement and optimization approaches, including attribution, ROAS measurement, incrementality testing, causal inference, uplift modelling, and experiment design, helping advertisers and the business understand the true incremental impact of advertising.

Databricks, Spark, Azure, Python, SQL, Machine Learning, MLOps, Experimentation & Analytics Frameworks, Git, CI/CD.

About you:

• You bring solid experience in applied data science and machine learning, including building and deploying models in production environments.
• You have a strong foundation in Python, SQL, statistical modelling, and large-scale data processing.
• You have strong experience in marketing or advertising measurement, with hands-on knowledge of areas such as attribution and ROAS, causal inference, incrementality testing, uplift modelling, matched-market approaches, and experimental design, and understand the assumptions and trade-offs behind different measurement methods.
• You enjoy taking ownership of ambiguous problems and creating structure, especially in a product area that is still being shaped.
