Senior Data Scientist
This is a key role in bridging process modeling, automation, and commercial application, with a strong focus on translating cutting-edge technologies (e.g., digital twins) into scalable, customer-facing solutions.

Develop and execute strategy to identify and prototype innovative digital tools for upstream (cell culture) bioprocess operations aligned with Product & Technology Roadmaps to translate scientific advancements into development initiatives
Lead technical workstreams and design models, simulations to generate validated prototypes for digital solutions
Evaluate technologies, trends & customer use cases through structured, mediated interactions with commercial or application teams to identify high-value innovation opportunities
Develop and validate prototype applications, tools including digital twins and machine‑learning‑based solutions to enable integration of validated concepts into scalable product or platform capabilities
Translate process & production data into actionable insights to support technical validation and feasibility assessment
Represent scientific expertise in selected external interactions and industry forums and build internal subject matter expert recognition without ownership of solution positioning or commercial activities to strengthen technical credibility and identify trends
Qualification & Skills:
PhD with 5+ years’ experience, or Master's degree with 7+ years’ experience
Proven track record (publications or patents) in automation, cell culture process modeling, or data analytics in bioprocessing or related field
Expertise in modeling, optimization & simulation tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python, Pyomo)
Experience with optimization frameworks (e.g. IPOPT, BARON) and version control systems (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps)
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with ability to translate data into decisions
Good communication skills across technical and cross-functional teams
Excellent customer orientation focused on understanding scientific problems and translating them into prototype concepts that deliver measurable impact on solution performance and industrialization speed
Compensation for this position will be a base salary between $110,000 and $150,000 (depending on experience, qualifications, education, & location), plus bonus
