Senior Database Administrator

Location: Onsite The Viriyah Insurance at MRT Cultural Center

Salary: 50,000 THB

Qualifications:

• Accept Thai Nationality
• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or other related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on database management in tech, insurance, or related industry.
• Proficient in one of the following database technologies e.g., MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Document DB
• Knowledge in clouds is a plus.
• Strong in management skill and systematic thinking.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates on the initial installation and configuration of a new database.
• Update and maintain patches as required.
• Write and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
• Create backup and recovery plans and procedures based on industry best practices, then make sure that the necessary steps are followed.
• Monitor and tune database to ensure continuous operating and performance at scale.
• Handles the transfer of data from the existing system to the new platform including cloud environment.
• Efficiently importing large volumes of data that have been extracted from multiple systems into a new data repository, data lake, and data warehouse environment.
• Clean up and transform relational data to fit the desired format so that it can be imported into a central repository.
• Control who has access and what type of access they are allowed in each data object (table, databases, sources)
• Retrieve and manage database log and audit log to ensure no irregularity and data breaches.
