Senior Database Administrator maintains SQL Server and Oracle databases, ensuring performance, security, and high availability through patching, backups, and disaster recovery.

Experience : -5+ Years
Roles & Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases. Create, migrate, and upgrade databases across environments. Perform database hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation. Configure and test database backups, restores, and replication (AOAG/DataGuard). Conduct DR (Disaster Recovery) switchovers and switchbacks for production systems. Monitor and resolve database incidents, performance issues, and service disruptions. Implement database changes and maintain change documentation and runbooks. Support audit activities and provide required evidence and responses. Lead and mentor the DBA team, managing escalations as needed. Maintain accurate documentation, inventory, and process updates. Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes. Ensure systems are patched, secure, and compliant with policies. Provide on-call and after-hours/weekend support as required. Perform post-implementation reviews and continuous tuning improvements.
Skills & Requirements: - Strong hands-on experience with
SQL Server
and
Oracle database administration . Expertise in
backup/restore ,
performance tuning ,
replication (AOAG/DataGuard) , and
database migration . Solid understanding of
database security ,
hardening , and
patch management . Knowledge of
incident, problem, and change management
processes (ITIL preferred). Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and ensure high availability. Excellent documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
