Senior Database Administrator
Summary
Manage relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) to ensure performance and disaster recovery across bare-metal and cloud (AWS/GCP) environments while automating operations with Terraform and Puppet.
You will manage relational and NoSQL databases, improve performance and scalability, implement replication and partitioning, maintain backups and disaster recovery, troubleshoot database issues, support development teams, and automate infrastructure and database lifecycle operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions.
- Ensure database performance scalability high availability and disaster recovery.
- Operate databases across bare-metal servers and virtual machines.
- Implement replication chains partitioning sharding and backups.
- Assist development teams with database creation optimization and troubleshooting.
- Drive automation with Terraform Puppet and custom tooling.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science Technology or a related field.
- Expert-level experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions.
- Strong SQL knowledge including DDL DML and DCL.
- Experience with AWS or GCP.
- Proficiency in Linux.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Scripting automation and Infrastructure-as-Code experience is preferred.
- Team management experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Datadog Prometheus Grafana or Zabbix is preferred.
