About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Database Developer to join the team working on Veeam ONE.
What You’ll Do
- Development and support of structure and database objects, writing queries, and stored procedures (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
- Optimization of the existing database structure and code
- Modernization and creation of new reports, widgets and dashboards for Veeam ONE, VSPC, and other reporting products
- Reworking the current business logic in order to meet new business requirements
- Working closely with teams of analysts and QA
- Technical leadership and mentoring within the team
Technologies we work with:
- MS SQL, PostgreSQL, pgTAP or analogs, TFS + Git, T-SQL
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of working experience
- Experience with MS SQL (must-have) and PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of relational database design, indexing, transactions, and query execution plans
- Proven experience writing complex queries, scripts, and stored procedures
- Ability to understand someone else's code
- Leadership and mentoring experience
- Responsibility, diligence, discipline, high efficiency, desire to develop, experience in teamwork
Bonus Skills
- Understanding of backend development (C#) sufficient to discuss technical solutions with backend teams, agree on how work is split between the database and application layers, and read code when needed.
