Senior Database Operations Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Database Operations Engineer to ensure optimized performance and stability in regulated high-availability environments while managing and maintaining enterprise content management systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize DB2 (LUW and/or z/OS) databases addressing schema understanding, performance tuning and backup and recovery needs
- Oversee the operation and support of IBM CM, FileNet and Documentum products
- Configure and manage Linux OS to support enterprise systems
- Administer IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) in clustered environments
- Resolve complex technical issues with a proven approach to troubleshooting
- Collaborate on production support tasks including incident triage, root cause analysis and implementing preventative improvements
- Ensure documentation and knowledge-sharing practices are maintained across the team
Requirements
- Familiarity with regulated high-availability environments
- 3+ years of combined experience with DB2 (LUW and/or z/OS), Linux OS and IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- Background in IBM CM, FileNet and Documentum products
- Showcase of expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning and issue resolution
- Capability to perform production support tasks such as triage, root cause analysis and preventative actions
- Proficiency in managing enterprise environments using technologies like Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2+)
Nice to have
- Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous patterns
- Experience with IBM Content Navigator
- Skills in Bash scripting
