Senior Databricks Data Engineer - London - £85K

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on Databricks experience to join a growing data platform team.

You'll play a key role in designing, building and optimising production-grade data pipelines across Databricks, Spark and Delta Lake, while helping shape the engineering standards and architecture behind the wider data platform.

What you'll be doing:

• Build and optimise scalable Databricks/Spark data pipelines across batch and streaming workloads.
• Develop Lakehouse solutions using Delta Lake and medallion architecture.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, governance and security across the platform.
• Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts and Product teams to deliver high-quality data products.
• Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews, tooling and continuous improvement.
• Support platform optimisation, including performance and cloud cost management.

What we're looking for:

• Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer working with Databricks in production.
• Excellent knowledge of Apache Spark, Delta Lake and Databricks Workflows.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Understanding of Lakehouse architecture, ETL/ELT and distributed data processing.
• Databricks certification highly desirable.

Expectation will be to be in office 1 day per week and offers a salary of around £85,000 plus a small bonus and benefits.
