About the Role
The project involves migrating data and connectivity away from the legacy Broadcom Datacom database to a new target platform (VSAM database/Systematics core banking stack).
In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless database connectivity, managing database functionalities, and driving the data migration process from old to new. You will work closely alongside the PL1 Developer and project architects to support code and database changes.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless database connectivity, managing database functionalities, and driving the data migration process from old to new. You will work closely alongside the PL1 Developer and project architects to support code and database changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Management & Support: Maintain deep operational knowledge of the Datacom database in and out, managing connections, connectivity, and database functionalities.
- Data Migration: Lead and oversee the migration of data from the legacy Datacom database to the new target environment.
- Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with the PL1 Developer and solution architects to ensure database connectivity and integrity are maintained throughout code refactoring and migration activities.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive, hands-on experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) specialising in Broadcom Datacom.
- Migration Experience: Proven background in database migration, data connectivity, and legacy-to-modern database transitions.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate with development teams and architects in a fast-paced environment.
