Senior DBA Engineer (MySQL, AWS)

We are looking for a Senior DBA Engineer who will be able to plan and execute a phased migration of a large MySQL database available in multiple zones.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a phased migration of a large MySQL database available in multiple zones
• Design and maintain MySQL databases across multiple zones
• Preparation of cutover procedures for database migration
• Disaster recovery planning and execution
• Performance tuning and query optimization of MySQL databases
• Configuration of replication, backups and high availability
• Management of MySQL deployments on Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora
• Monitoring and troubleshooting of database health and capacity

Requirements

• Proficiency in MySQL with proven experience in planning and executing databases
• Expertise in Amazon Web Services including Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora and Amazon EC2
• Skills in MySQL replication, backup and recovery and high availability
• Competency in performance tuning, query optimization and indexing
• Background in preparing cutover and disaster recovery
• Familiarity with AWS networking, IAM and CloudWatch
• English level B2+
