Our client is growing its Data & AI team and looking for a permanent Delivery Manager to lead both the delivery of key Data & AI initiatives and a team of 6 direct reports.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, building high-performing teams and bringing structure and clarity to complex technology delivery.
About the role
You’ll sit at the centre of Data & AI delivery, partnering with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science and business stakeholders to take initiatives from discovery through to production.
A key part of the role is people leadership. You’ll directly manage a team of 6, providing coaching, feedback and career development while creating a supportive, accountable and high-performing team environment.

Melbourne based, hybrid — 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.

What you’ll do
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 6 direct reports
- Support performance, career development and capability uplift across the team
- Build a strong team culture with clear expectations and accountability
- Lead end-to-end delivery across multiple Data & AI initiatives
- Manage priorities, dependencies, risks and issues across technical and business teams
- Own delivery planning, reporting and senior stakeholder communication
- Manage team capacity and resourcing across competing priorities
- Embed effective governance and continuously improve delivery practices
- Support release planning and ensure initiatives are ready for production
- Strong people management experience, ideally leading technical or data teams
- Proven experience coaching, mentoring and developing individuals
- Strong technology delivery or project management experience
- Exposure to Data, Analytics or AI initiatives
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams and competing priorities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to bring structure, accountability and direction to complex delivery environments
