How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice:
The Senior Demand Planning Manager is critical to the success of Paula's Choice's supply chain organization. The role is responsible for leading a global team of Category Demand Planners, elevating demand planning from a fragmented, channel-by-channel activity into a single, disciplined global process — owning the demand step of S&OP and driving a consistent forecasting methodology across NAM, APAC, EU, and ANZ.
As the Senior Demand Planning Manager, you will:
- Own aggregated, category-level global demand planning for revenue-generating units, with SKU-level forecasts owned by category and region/market planners
- Scale a single, consistent forecasting methodology across NAM, APAC, EU and ANZ, replacing today's inconsistent, market-by-market approaches
- Maintain a rolling 18-month demand horizon, keeping assumptions consistent across base trends, launches, samples, promotions and peak volumes
- Bring global category insights and item-level trends into S&OP meetings and drive demand plan alignment to category growth plans
- Run monthly demand reviews with regional partners and lead the demand step of a newly formalized, integrated S&OP process spanning demand, supply, commercial and finance
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply to build the consensus demand plan, and represent demand planning at the consensus and executive tiers of S&OP
- Run an in-month global pacing view to surface revenue risks and opportunities early enough for supply to act
- Provide timely in-season analysis on promotions, events and launches, ensuring stakeholders understand results and downstream implications
- Define and own forecast KPIs at a consistent lag cadence, and use them to drive continuous improvement across the team
- Drive Quarterly Category Hindsight reviews, Product Lifecycle Management, and assortment optimization, including discontinuation triggers to reduce SLOB exposure
- Lead product ranking and core-SKU definition across the business to drive inventory strategy and protect never-out-of-stock items
- Drive the new-product-launch market forecast consolidation and approval process in partnership with Product Marketing, integrating demand planning earlier in the Stage Gate process
- Serve as the demand planning lead on the Oracle Planning Central (OPC) implementation, moving the team off manual workarounds and tuning the statistical forecast baseline to the business
- Ensure planning tools efficiently utilize the demand plan as the primary driver, along with key data inputs from costing and operations, to drive supply planning activities
- Hire, manage, and develop the Global Category Demand Planning team, building capability and coverage as the function scales globally
The details:
Location: Fully remote within the US; West Coast only for time-zone alignment
Hours: Typical PDT business hours, with flexibility required to support global time zones
Physical requirements: Ability to handle long periods of both sitting and screen time
Travel requirements: Up to 10%, may vary
What you’ll bring to the table:
Skills:
- Strong analytical capability - able to synthesize demand signals and item-level trends across multiple systems and markets to build a defensible, accurate global forecast
- Excellent cross-functional communication and influencing skills; this role must be credible and effective across commercial, finance, and supply chain audiences globally
- Strong people leadership: able to hire, coach and develop planners while holding a consistent standard across categories and regions
- Deep familiarity with S&OP/IBP process design and the ability to represent global demand needs within a consensus-driven planning cadence
- Ability to write clear, structured forecasting standards and work instructions that enable teams to execute consistently without escalation, at scale across markets
- Comfortable operating in a business that is actively transforming its processes, systems, and organizational design - and able to lead others through that change calmly and constructively
- Leads with accountability - takes ownership of the global forecast, not just a single region or channel, and sets that standard for every member of the team
- Builds clarity in ambiguity - creates process, documentation, and decision frameworks where they do not yet exist, across a function still standardizing globally
- Commercially grounded - understands the revenue and margin implications of demand decisions across all markets and channels, and communicates them proactively to stakeholders
Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, merchandise planning, or S&OP/IBP, in a multi-channel, multi-market consumer goods or beauty environment
- 4+ years of direct people management or formal team leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience building or leading a formal S&OP/IBP process, ideally across multiple regions or markets
- Advanced Excel skills using large data sets; comfortable building and overseeing ad hoc analysis and reporting at both category and SKU level
- Experience leading planning system implementations (Oracle Planning Central or comparable) or major process redesigns, with the ability to drive change as a subject-matter expert
- Familiarity with Power BI and NetSuite; a clear intent to drive the organization away from manual workarounds toward system-native solutions
- Prior experience in personal care, beauty, or a comparable multinational CPG environment a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required; APICS CPIM or CSCP certification a plus
What we offer you:
- A robust benefits package including health, vision, dental, retirement and more
- Flexible spending account, Employee assistance program
- Fitness perks, meditation app membership and more
- Product samples and discounts
- Generous PTO
- Great location – we’re in the heart of Seattle’s beautiful International District
- Exceptional environment – we work hard and celebrate our accomplishments. You might catch our teams volunteering, at Mariner’s games or connecting at happy hours
- Did we mention we’re a dog-friendly office?
