Senior Demand Planning Specialist - Motor Cars
Our client is a World Leader in the export of tax-free motors. They have been providing quality vehicles to government agencies, NGO’s, hospitals, embassies, business and private customers from their branches located in Belgium, Australia, Thailand, Germany, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Job Purpose To lead demand planning and procurement coordination activities, ensuring accurate forecasting, efficient inventory management, and timely vehicle procurement. The role is responsible for driving planning accuracy, optimizing stock levels, and supporting business growth through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional alignment. Key Responsibilities 1. Demand Planning & Forecasting • Develop and manage demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales inputs. • Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to align forecasts with business targets and budget plans. • Continuously monitor forecast accuracy and implement improvements. 2. Inventory & Stock Management • Monitor stock levels, aging inventory, and replenishment cycles to ensure optimal inventory health. • Identify slow-moving stock and recommend corrective actions, including pricing or procurement adjustments. • Ensure availability of vehicles to meet customer demand and operational requirements. 3. Procurement Coordination • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes including PFIs, POs, DNs, and related documentation. • Coordinate with global and local suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery. • Track procurement timelines and resolve delays proactively. • Lead and support commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms • Operate effectively across both planning and on-ground execution 4. Supplier & Pricing Coordination • Maintain strong relationships with core suppliers and support negotiations on pricing and terms. • Ensure pricing updates are accurately reflected across systems and communicated internally. • Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues when required. • Get timely approvals for pricing and terms. 5. Team Leadership & Supervision • Lead and support a team of demand planning coordinators and executives. • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. • Guide team members on best practices, process compliance, and system usage. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Act as a key liaison between Sales, Finance, and Operations to align procurement and demand planning activities. • Support urgent requirements, order adjustments, and operational coordination. • Ensure accurate capture of business requirements and timely execution. 7. Reporting & Analysis • Track KPIs related to demand planning accuracy, inventory performance, and procurement efficiency. • Prepare regular reports and dashboards for management review. • Provide insights and recommendations to improve planning and procurement strategies. 8. Process Improvement & Compliance • Ensure adherence to company SOPs, internal controls, and procurement policies. • Identify process gaps and drive improvements in workflow efficiency and planning accuracy. • Support audits and ensure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained.
