Senior Design Engineer

Join a dynamic team specializing in delivering advanced engineering solutions for military and government projects. We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and integration of electrical systems for mobile and containerized applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cable harnesses and circuit layouts for mission-critical systems.
  
• Engineer DC and AC power distribution solutions, including auxiliary battery, inverter, solar panel, and charger selection.
  
• Specify and integrate vehicle alternator sensing chargers, AC transformer isolators, and grounding solutions.
  
• Select and implement fuses, MCBs, RCDs, and RCBOs to ensure system protection and compliance.
  
• Support the BID process by generating cost estimates for power, data, coaxial, and optical cable designs based on customer requirements.
  
• Develop technical documentation, including electrical specifications, FAT, SAT, and test procedures.
  
• Assist in component selection and maintain records within the company’s MRP system.
  

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong background in electrical system design within a defence or government-related environment.
  
• Experience with power distribution, circuit protection, and mobile/containerized system integration.
  
• Proficiency in electrical design software and an understanding of industry standards and compliance.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
