Job Description

• Position Title: Senior Designer
• Working Location: Boon Lay
• Working Hours: 5.5 Days, Monday – Friday (9am – 5pm), Saturday (9am – 1pm)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + AWS
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural, structural and relevant shop drawings, specifications and project requirements to develop cost-effective design solutions that comply with applicable standards.
• Coordinate and prepare concept, shop and detailed drawings for internal review and submission, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely delivery.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and material assessments for design-related accessories, while ensuring that project works are executed within the approved budget and obtaining management approval for any additional costs.
• Coordinate and provide technical support throughout project execution, including presentations, mock-ups, site installations and completion works, ensuring alignment between approved drawings, design intent and actual site conditions.
• Monitor site progress, identify and report discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions, and ensure all variations or deviations are properly documented and communicated to management for timely resolution.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, submissions, site reports and project documentation.
• Monitor drawing submission schedules to ensure timely coordination with overall project timelines.
• Guide and supervise workers, installers, sub-contractors and junior staff to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Monitor site progress, sub-contractor performance and work quality, and assist in reviewing progress reports, identifying corrective actions.
• Support project progress claims in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Represent the company professionally in project meetings and site coordination activities, provide regular progress updates to management, and ensure all instructions are carried out effectively and diligently.
• Uphold company policies, objectives and confidentiality requirements while promoting continuous improvement, sustainable practices and efficient project operations.

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in architectural works, particularly in façade design, cladding, curtain walling and glazing systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM applications and Microsoft Office.
• Good understanding of architectural and structural drawings, construction methods, material specifications, site coordination and relevant quality and safety standards.
• Strong communication, coordination and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with management, consultants, clients, site personnel, workers and sub-contractors.
