Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Desktop Engineer to support and manage end-user computing environments in a structured enterprise setting. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, resolving escalated technical issues, and maintaining desktop infrastructure standards.

The successful candidate will provide Level 2/Level 3 support, oversee endpoint lifecycle management, and collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related peripherals
  • Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems and enterprise applications
  • Administer Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and access permissions
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
  • Manage endpoint deployment, imaging, and patch management activities
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and email systems
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with internal IT policies
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and support services
  • Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
  • Support IT projects such as system upgrades, device rollouts, and workplace transformation initiatives
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior support engineers when required

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in desktop support or end-user computing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and desktop hardware troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Experience with endpoint management tools such as SCCM, Intune, or equivalent
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes and structured IT support environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage escalations independently
  • Good communication skills and customer-focused mindset

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting hybrid or cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS)
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft certifications
