Senior Detail Design Engineer

At BW Water, now part of De Nora Water Technologies within the De Nora Group, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Detail Design Engineer. The role is responsible for managing and maintaining engineering drawing templates, ensuring compliance with quality standards and QMS requirements, preparing mechanical design drawings, and developing AutoCAD drawings, including P&IDs, schematics, GA drawings, isometrics, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings. The position also supports bidding activities, project execution, and site surveys.
Responsibilities
- Administer, develop, maintain all related engineering drawing templates.
- To follow all Group quality directives and input and suggest improvements where relevant.
- To follow the company’s policy to ensure as much project scope as possible is kept within the Group.
- Ensure all the work task is following the requirement in the QMS system.
- Assist on detail drawing work as needed in a bidding and project phase.
- Prepare mechanical design drawing during basic and detail engineering.
- Prepares and develops drawings with AutoCAD for PID, Schematic diagram on process, GA drawing, Isometric Drawing, fabrication drawing, assembly drawing, installation drawing and manuals.
- Attend meeting with client from time to time subject to the project location.
- Carry out site survey in order to gain required information and/or verification of existing or new plant documentation as and when it is needed.
- Carry out and ensure good filing system for electronic and hard copy documents and is easily retrievable.
- Liaise with process engineering, fabrication, and project department in order to have a more competitive and precise design and costing.
- Maintain effective communication with all internal and external relevant disciplines.
- To continue the improvement plan for the basic and detail engineering work.
- Able to travel and stay short term on project site when needed.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in engineering/construction management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years' work experiences.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Excellent technical drawing skills.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge in Revit, Navisworks, Advance Steel, Inventor is added advantage.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong creative and visualization skills.
- Able to perform independently and support project team.
- Good experience in water and wastewater treatment will be added advantage.
