Senior Developer (ServiceNow)

Location: Local Sourcing (Manila, Philippines)

Contract Type: IDIQ Staff Augmentation

Engagement Duration: 9 Months (Subject to extension)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week at ADB HQ in Mandaluyong City, Manila Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Reporting To: Jeong Wan Hong (Manager, Information Technology Department)

About the Role

As part of the strategic Empower@ADB initiative, this role focuses on modernizing ADB’s operational ecosystem by enabling secure, efficient digital solutions on approved platforms under structured governance. The Senior ServiceNow Developer will design, architect, develop, and integrate ServiceNow applications—including third-party solutions—to support scalable, AI-enabled innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Engineering: Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow modules and applications with a strong emphasis on AppEngine.

• Workflows & Scripting: Build complex scripts, business rules, automated workflows, and forms to address unique organizational needs.

• Platform Health & Optimization: Conduct root cause analysis on platform issues, resolve technical bugs, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.

• User Experience & Structure: Organize taxonomies, knowledge bases, record producers, and self-service portals to deliver an optimal user experience.

• Agile Collaboration: Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in close alignment with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Platform Leads.

• Code Quality & Governance: Conduct peer code reviews, adhere to ServiceNow best practices, and contribute to release and iteration planning.

• Deployment Support: Oversee production releases, monitor application health post-deployment, and maintain seamless operations.

• Author and update technical specifications, including:

  • High-Level Solution Design (HLSD)

  • Solution Design Document (SDD)

  • Security & Governance documentation (Security License to Operate - SLTO)

  • Solution Deployment Plans

• Ensure strict platform compliance with data protection regulations and institutional governance standards.

• Propose automation and efficiency enhancements to optimize system usability.

• Ensure all technical solutions align with ITIL guidelines, security policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and implementing custom solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

• Demonstrated expertise in AppEngine and third-party integration protocols.

• Deep experience architecting custom ServiceNow applications, forms, advanced workflows, and platform integrations.

• Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban frameworks).

• Problem-Solving & Mentorship: Strong analytical capability to solve complex technical challenges, lead process improvement efforts, and mentor junior team members.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders and present platform updates.

• Proactive Continuous Learning: Curiosity and commitment to stay up-to-date with ServiceNow platform upgrades, emerging features, and security standards.

Working Conditions & Coordination

• Arrangement: Hybrid setup (3 days onsite per week at ADB Headquarters in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila).

• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Manila Time.

• Reporting: Direct guidance from IT Department Management and close collaboration with internal and external project stakeholders.
