We are seeking an experienced Senior Distributed Systems Engineer with deep expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale distributed systems. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about building highly scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant platforms capable of handling complex, high-volume workloads.
As a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer, you will work closely with Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams to develop reliable distributed applications, optimize data processing pipelines, and implement secure communication mechanisms. You will play a key role in enhancing system performance, ensuring high availability, and driving engineering excellence through modern software development practices and distributed computing principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable, high-performance distributed systems with a strong focus on reliability and fault tolerance.
- Build secure distributed communication mechanisms using encryption, authentication, and SSL/TLS protocols.
- Develop high-quality software solutions using Java and contribute to distributed data processing using Hadoop and SQL.
- Optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, and workflows for efficient large-scale distributed execution.
- Design resilient system components that ensure high availability, resource optimization, and operational stability.
- Collaborate with Architecture, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust distributed solutions.
- Analyze and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across distributed environments and implement optimization strategies.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions while promoting engineering best practices.
- Maintain system security, scalability, and performance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve distributed platform capabilities through automation, performance tuning, and technology enhancements.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 10+ years of experience in Distributed Systems Engineering.
- Strong hands-on programming expertise in Java.
- Experience working with Hadoop, SQL, and distributed data processing technologies.
- Solid understanding of distributed system architecture, including scalability, communication protocols, resource coordination, and fault tolerance.
- Strong knowledge of security concepts such as encryption, authentication, and SSL/TLS.
- Experience optimizing SQL queries and improving distributed application performance.
- Working knowledge of C++ is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build secure, scalable, and resilient distributed platforms.
