Senior DevOps Engineer

Role: Senior DevOps Engineer (Contract).

Details:
- Location: Noida (Work from Office).
- Contract: 3 months, extendable.
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on Development/DevOps.
- Environment: On-premises (with some cloud exposure).

About the role:
- Own and scale infrastructure automation, VM and cloud/on-prem provisioning, Kubernetes operations and the CI/CD ecosystem.
- This is a hands-on senior role covering troubleshooting, reviewing automation code and mentoring junior engineers.

Infrastructure and networking:
- VM provisioning and lifecycle on VMware ESXi/vSphere, Nutanix or KVM.
- IP address management (IPAM), subnets, VLANs, CIDR ranges, and static/DHCP assignments without overlaps.

Kubernetes:
- Cluster provisioning, upgrades, namespaces, RBAC and ingress, on-prem as well as EKS/AKS.
- Deployments with Helm and Argo CD, and troubleshooting across compute, network, storage and workloads.

CI/CD:
- Jenkins pipelines (declarative, scripted, Groovy).
- Automated build, test, release and multi-environment deployments.
- Git workflows, branching and PR governance on Azure Repos, GitHub or GitLab.

Infrastructure as Code:
- Terraform and Ansible for repeatable, auditable automation of VMs, networks and Kubernetes resources.
- Policy-as-code (OPA/Rego) is a plus.

Reliability and governance:
- Monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), CMDB tracking of infrastructure, secrets management (Vault), runbooks and documentation.

Collaboration:
- Work with application, security, network and infrastructure teams.
- Take part in architecture reviews.

Must-have skills:
- Kubernetes in production.
- Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Terraform and/or Ansible.
- VMware ESXi/vSphere, Nutanix or KVM.
- Networking fundamentals (subnetting, VLANs, CIDR, IPAM, DHCP).
- Git platforms and branching strategies.
- Scripting in Bash, Python or PowerShell.
- Prometheus, Grafana or ELK.
- Vault or similar secrets management.

Bonus Qualifications:
- OPA/Rego.
- ServiceNow/CMDB.
- Hybrid or multi-cloud.
- CKA or Terraform certification.
