Overview of The Role
As a Senior Engineer - DevOps, you will be at the forefront of designing, defining, and implementing robust application infrastructure solutions for a diverse clientele. Infrastructure is a key pillar of our operations, and you will be responsible for delivering seamless end-to-end solutions that empower development and quality assurance teams to perform at their best.
This role requires a proactive and technically adept individual who can autonomously drive the automation of infrastructure setup, while ensuring continuous maintenance and timely upgrades. You will lead the adoption of global standards and industry best practices, fostering innovation and excellence in process implementation across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable infrastructure leveraging expertise in Unix/Linux environments and AWS services (EC2, ECS, ElasticBeanstalk, S3, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail), ensuring seamless application and infrastructure health across environments.
- Administer and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy, integrating testing frameworks and provisioning scripts while ensuring compliance with security, networking, and regulatory standards (e.g., PCI/HIPAA).
- Develop and manage automation scripts using Python and Shell, employing Git for version control, and orchestrating containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Leverage tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Kubernetes for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and container orchestration, ensuring scalable and consistent infrastructure deployments.
- Establish and manage application environments using Terraform in AWS, handling end-to-end provisioning and configuration with tools like Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
- Drive the entire software delivery lifecycle, managing infrastructure scaling, provisioning, and release processes across environments while ensuring infrastructure scalability and high availability through IaC tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Architect reusable Terraform modules to ensure consistency and repeatability in infrastructure deployments.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and resolutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address dependencies and ensure project success.
- Identify and communicate risks, issues, and proposed resolutions to project leads/clients, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address dependencies and requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
- Advanced expertise in AWS services, including EC2, EKS, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, Auto Scaling, S3, Elasticsearch, Elastic Cache, Load Balancers, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail, with strong networking and VPC configuration skills.
- Proficient in setting up and managing Unix/Linux environments, including the establishment and maintenance of various environments.
- Skilled in administering CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, enabling efficient automation and seamless deployment processes.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with extensive experience in version control systems like Git and collaboration platforms like Jira and Confluence.
- In-depth understanding of security protocols, networking, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI, HIPAA), ensuring robust and compliant operations.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and drive best practices across teams.
