Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure DevOps, Kubernetes & Terraform

Summary

Design and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and Terraform IaC for a public-sector client in Copenhagen, automating builds and deployments while mentoring teams.

Position

Permanent position at Twoday | Consultant role with a public sector client (Copenhagen)

Responsibilities

  • Designing, improving and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
  • Driving standardisation of build, deployment and release processes
  • Managing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Supporting the migration from container-based virtual machines to Kubernetes
  • Working with Docker, Kubernetes and Linux platforms
  • Developing automation using Bash, PowerShell and YAML
  • Supporting development teams with DevOps best practices and technical guidance
  • Improving quality gates, testing, monitoring and deployment automation
  • Applying AI‑assisted tools to improve automation, documentation and software delivery
  • Collaborating with multiple suppliers in a large‑scale public sector delivery organisation

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Azure DevOps
  • Strong experience designing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • Strong Linux administration skills
  • Experience with Bash, PowerShell and YAML
  • Experience with Git and trunk‑based development
  • A development background with a good understanding of Java applications and build processes

Experience developing or operating national healthcare solutions, healthcare integration platforms or other complex public sector systems is highly valued.

Experience working within a multi‑supplier delivery organisation is considered an advantage.

Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or Cursor is an advantage.

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent Danish, both written and spoken, is a mandatory requirement.
  • Full‑time onsite work on Amager is a mandatory requirement.
