Our client, a fast-growing Saa S company located in Benoni, Gauteng , is looking for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to enhance their cloud infrastructure and streamline development operations. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our production systems. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure, building CI/CD pipelines, and fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of cloud platforms, containerization, and automation tools, with a passion for optimizing development workflows. Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability.
- Enhance system security and implement security best practices throughout the infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment processes.
- Establish and maintain effective logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection for Dev Ops practices.
- Mentor junior team members and promote Dev Ops best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or a related role.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Circle CI).
- Understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and system administration (Linux/Windows).
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience in a hybrid work environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in the Benoni area.
