About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their IT infrastructure operations in Richards Bay. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and efficient systems by bridging the gap between software development and IT operations. This role involves significant work with cloud platforms, automation tools, and infrastructure as code to streamline development and deployment processes. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health.
• Automate operational tasks and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with a strong emphasis on cloud computing.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
