Our client, a rapidly expanding Saa S company, is seeking an experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. This is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation strategies. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform, supporting the continuous delivery of high-quality software. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, containerization, infrastructure as code, and a passion for automating complex processes. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional software solutions to our global customer base. Our engineering operations, while distributed, often originate from strategic hubs like Randburg, Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities Design, build, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes. Develop and manage infrastructure as code (Ia C) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation. Automate operational tasks, deployments, and system monitoring. Ensure the security, performance, and availability of production environments. Implement containerization solutions using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative measures. Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth software delivery cycles. Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and operational procedures. Participate in on-call rotations for incident response and system support. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or system administration roles. Proven expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation). Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Circle CI). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, crucial for a remote team. Previous experience contributing to or working within the tech ecosystem originating from Randburg, Gauteng or similar tech hubs is a plus.
