Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Dubizzle Labs, you will ensure our services are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed to scale. You'll use your background as an operations generalist to work closely with our development teams from the early stages of design through identifying and resolving production issues. You will support a wide range of products focusing on automation, availability, performance, and above all reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, efficiency, and capacity of our production environment
  • Be part of the implementation and design of the systems used to operate Dubizzle, with a focus on automation and maintainability at large scale
  • Build large CI/CD processes (experience with GitHub Actions & Jenkins is preferred)
  • Collaborate with the development team on operations-related issues, providing support and acting as stakeholder
  • Maintain production-like environments used for development and testing to provide fast and reliable development experience for product teams
  • Develop tools to effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale environment
  • Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack – hardware, software, application, and network
  • Migrate applications off legacy environments with minimal downtime
  • Participate in a shared 24x7 on‑call rotation
  • Document system design and procedures

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field and significant experience in DevOps
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification
  • 5+ years experience supporting hosted services in a high‑volume customer‑facing environment
  • Experience with DevOps tools, processes, culture, distributed systems, and supporting mission‑critical systems
  • Experience building Continuous Integration / Delivery pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Demonstrated ability to write programs/utilities in a high‑level language such as Go, Ruby, Python, and Bash
  • 4+ years proven experience running and managing infrastructure at scale using Kubernetes
  • Experience performing migration from traditional technology stacks to AWS EKS or similar
