Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to improve platform reliability, automation, CI/CD, and observability across our environments. This role is focused on platform operations and delivery, not product software development. The person in this role will also support apprentices by helping with onboarding, task planning, work reviews, and day-to-day technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
• Automate operational and infrastructure tasks
• Manage Docker-based services and virtual machine environments
• Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, and runbooks
• Support incident response, releases, and rollbacks
• Keep platforms stable, reliable, and compliant
• Support the migration of training services into the Hyperspace portal
• Mentor apprentices and help improve team workflows
• Maintain technical documentation, operational guides, and tooling

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or platform engineering
• Proficiency in Git, Docker, and GitHub Actions
• Understanding of monitoring, alerting, automation, and system reliability
• Skills in scripting for automation, such as Shell, Python, or Groovy
• Familiarity with virtual machines, deployments, and configuration updates
• Ability to mentor junior team members and communicate clearly
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
