Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP)

In this role, you will design and evolve cloud-native platforms on Google Cloud Platform, helping global organizations modernize infrastructure, accelerate software delivery, and improve operational resilience.
Working within our Cloud and DevOps Practice, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers and architects to deliver secure, scalable, and AI-ready solutions while shaping engineering best practices across projects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on automation and infrastructure changes required to execute the platform separation roadmap
- Design, provision, maintain, and refactor GCP infrastructure to achieve Day 1 readiness
- Manage and operate production workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including refactoring existing infrastructure and developing reusable modules
- Perform system and platform configuration changes required to support the separation of environments and services
- Automate deployment and operational workflows using CI/CD tooling, including GitHub Actions
- Identify and remediate infrastructure dependencies, configuration issues, and technical debt that could impact Day 1 readiness
- Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting
- Perform infrastructure validation, scalability, resilience, and security testing before production cutover
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to execute the separation roadmap and ensure infrastructure is operationally ready for Day 1
Requirements
- Senior-level hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Strong practical experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Kubernetes
- Advanced hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Proven experience refactoring and maintaining existing cloud infrastructure rather than only provisioning new environments
- Experience with CI/CD automation, preferably using GitHub Actions
- Practical experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting
- Experience executing infrastructure migrations, platform separation, or similar transformation initiatives
- Understanding of high availability, scalability, resilience, and production-readiness practices
- Proficiency in working effectively with engineering teams and executing against a defined technical roadmap
