Senior DevOps Engineer

Discussion

Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer will manage Guardio’s large‑scale GCP production infrastructure, build automation and CI/CD pipelines, and ensure system stability and fast time‑to‑production using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and related tools.

Guardio is one of the fastest-growing companies in consumer cybersecurity - we’ve doubled revenue four years running, passed $150 million in ARR, and now protect over a million people, at a moment when AI has made scams more convincing than ever.

AI has democratized cybercrime: scams that once required sophisticated hacking teams are now cheap, personalized, and everywhere.

Traditional security wasn’t built for this - so we’re building it, protection that sees the person, connects all the dots - and stop attacks and scams wherever vector they come from.

And honestly, we all feel here - it’s just the beginning!

So, what's the job?

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and improving our infrastructure, integrating software development processes, and ensuring the stability and scalability of our systems. You will be involved in continuous integration practices, bringing innovative ideas and new tools to implement.

Our DevOps team builds the platform every Guardio engineer works through, and that platform is increasingly agentic

You will:

  • Own large-scale GCP production infrastructure with our entire user base riding on it.
  • Build the automation layer engineers use every day - where every improvement you ship lands on the whole R&D org at once.
  • Spot repetitive work and turn it into automation - we like solving things once.
  • Shape architecture, quality standards, and best practices with a small team that ships fast and owns its decisions.
  • Keep shrinking "time-to-production." It's our favorite metric, and it keeps dropping.

Sounds great! Am I the right fit?

Well, our guess is you have a good chance of being that person if you check as many of these as possible:

  • 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer, with proven public cloud experience - preferably GCP.
  • You're AI-native. You already use AI tools to move faster. You've probably built something with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or MCP servers. And critically: you know when to verify the output before trusting it.
  • Deep hands-on experience with the core toolkit: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and complex CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation.
  • You've operated micro-services in production at scale - observability (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and large-scale messaging (Pub/Sub, Kafka).
  • You make good calls under uncertainty. You've been the person in the room when things were broken and the data was unclear. You didn't freeze.

Talk nerdy to me.

Don't mind if we do. Our tech stack:

  • Cloud: GCP - GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Functions. We are all-in.
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Terraform + Argo CD
  • Observability: Datadog (our primary)
  • Agentic tooling: Claude Code with an in-house plugin marketplace - skills, MCP servers, CLIs
  • Languages: Python, TypeScript, Go
  • Data: MySQL, Redis, BigQuery, ClickHouse
  • Thinking of a great addition? Let's do it.
