Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:
•CI/CD & Release: Own CI/CD pipelines and release workflows (Jenkins, Gerrit/Git). Improve build/deploy speed, reliability, and rollback practices.
•Infrastructure Automation: Build and maintain automation for infrastructure and operations using Ansible and shell scripts (Python is a plus). Keep infra changes versioned and reviewable.
•Container & Runtime Operations: Operate Docker/docker-compose environments, including service configuration, environment management, and deployment templates. Standardize how services are built, configured, and run.
•On-prem Platform Operations: Maintain and improve VMware vCenter/vSphere infrastructure and NAS/storage (Synology preferred), including backups, snapshots, and restore drills. Ensure retention and recovery procedures are reliable.
•Observability & Incident Handling: Improve monitoring/logging/alerting (Prometheus/Grafana/Loki or equivalent) and support production issues. Perform root cause analysis, write postmortems, and drive preventive improvements.
•Documentation & Diagrams: Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and clear infrastructure diagrams to support teamwork and consistent operations.
•Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor teammates, coordinate work across Dev/QA teams, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Requirements:

Must have:
•5+ years experience in DevOps / SRE engineering
•Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
•Docker and docker-compose (build/run/debug)
•Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, firewall/routing concepts)
•CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins preferred); familiar with Gerrit-based workflow and Git
•On-prem virtualization experience (VMware vCenter/vSphere preferred)
•Infrastructure automation experience (Ansible preferred) and shell scripting
