Senior DevOps Engineer | London, Hybrid | up to 125k

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will help standardise and improve CI/CD pipelines across a large financial-application estate. You’ll design scalable cloud infrastructure, foster secure deployment practices, and partner with engineering teams to raise reliability and delivery standards. Your work will span AWS/Azure, containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code, enabling faster, safer software delivery. This role combines development, operations and security in a regulated environment, offering meaningful impact at scale.

• Design and operate scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release tooling and deployment automation
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Drive containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes (including EKS/AKS)
• Improve observability with monitoring/logging/alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch)
• Embed security best practices (IAM, secrets management, patching, vulnerability remediation, secure configuration)
• Support incident response and on-call rotations with post-incident reviews
• Collaborate with engineers to raise reliability, performance and delivery standards

• Significant DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering experience in regulated environments
• Proven software development/engineering experience in C#/.NET
• Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash; Python preferred)
• Cloud networking, DNS, load balancing, autoscaling and security controls
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container build/deploy workflows
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Understanding of SDLC, Git workflows, and automated testing practices
• Experience implementing compliance-aligned controls (audit trails, least privilege, change management)
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system reliability
